According to John Cross from the Mirror, Carl Jenkinson’s proposed move to Crystal Palace is off.
The right-back, who’s struggling to even get into the Arsenal squad since returning from his long-term knee injury, was all set to move to the Eagles permanently in the coming days. However, according to claims, talks with his potential new club began to break down due to the players’ wages demands. At Arsenal, he earns around £40,000.
After two loan spells under Sam Allardyce while he was West Ham manager, Jenks was apparently keen for the move to go ahead. However, when Arsene Wenger was asked about it during pre-Burnley press conference, he didn’t seem all too sure that it would definitely come to fruition.
Wenger: "Jenkinson is a possibility to go to Palace but it is not finalised. It is down to him to find an agreement with them."

Perhaps something is salvageable but what is clear is that the defender is leaving during this window.
Watford, Hull and Aston Villa are all apparently also interested so he has a few option.
