Arsene Wenger is hopeful that Olivier Giroud’s ankle injury isn’t too serious as he’s assessed by the doctors.
The Frenchman was struggling in the first half and while he seemed set to be replaced before the break, played on until the hour mark.
Spotted on the bench with an ice-pack on his ankle, Wenger told the press after the game, “He has an ankle problem. I don’t know how bad it is.
“It’s being assessed now by the doctor. I hope it’s not bad.”

Not picked up by the cameras at the end of the game, Shkodran Mustafi seemed to also pick up a problem. Let’s hope that isn’t anything to worry about, but with a week until our next game, there’s plenty of time for them all to rest and recover.
