Arsene Wenger has given another update on Santi Cazorla, claiming the midfielder could miss another 10 weeks with the Achilles problem that has killed his season.

With just 11 appearances in all competitions this season, Cazorla has been sorely missed.
Speaking to the press, Wenger said, “He’s far from starting to run again.
“He had a little procedure, yes, but we have a meeting with the medical people to see what it was.
“Yeah, I hope so [that he’ll be available for the run-in].
“Because once you start to go out [running outside] you have to count six weeks’ preparation. At the moment he’s not at that level, so let’s hope he can come back in the next three or four weeks on the pitch.”
‘A little procedure’ would seem to hint at a second operation. He first had surgery on this problem back in December but it seems to have done little to resolve the issue which is not surprising – the Achilles is a nightmare to heal.
Will we see him back before the end of the season? Will he be able to show he’s fit enough to earn a new contract? So many questions and, as usual, so few answers.
