Mohamed Elneny is currently away with Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon and his country have managed to progress to the quarter-finals.

Egypt finished top of Group D after beating Ghana 1-0 thanks to an 11th-minute goal from Roma’s Mohamed Salah.

Egypt saw the least possession (46%), shots (seven to Ghana’s 11) and corners (two to Ghana’s eight) but managed to score with their only shot on target of the game. They took their chance and that’s what made the difference.

Our boy Elneny played the entire 90 minutes and it’s brilliant to see him doing so well.
