Borussia Dortmund are said to be weighing up a move for Gedion Zelalem who, surprisingly, is out of contract in the summer.

Touted as one of the biggest talents in the Academy, things seem to have stalled somewhat for the youngster this season but it’s hard to see Arsenal allowing him to leave on a permanent basis at such a young age.

Still only 19, Zelalem arrived at Arsenal in 2014 and I am confident that he will sign a new deal with the club at some point, probably before being allowed to leave in January on a loan deal.

The report regarding Borussia Dortmund comes from ESPN who were given their information by a ‘source close to the German club’ but it’s worth keeping in mind that this could be nothing more than agent games as Zelalem’s management try to strike the best possible deal for their client.
