With the international break now over, it is time for the Arsenal Ladies to begin their pre-season and they are off to Spain.

Jemma Rose has tweeted about it:

In the meantime, some players came back injured from international duty, like Dominique Janssen who was injured with the Netherlands:

It will be interesting to see who travels to the camp in Spain as it might be the time to give the youngsters a chance, although the Development Cup tie against Reading is taking place next Sunday.

And with the Development team down to 13 players, having even two young players in Spain rather than in England would be a problem.

The friendly list is as follows:

  • Arsenal v FC Bayern 01 February
  • Arsenal v Vfl Wolfsburg 04 February*
  • Arsenal V Rosengard 09 February*
  • Arsenal v Kelly Smith XI 19 February

*friendlies not officially announced by the club so far.

Let’s hope this first camp will help the team to gel with the new signings and that no one will come back injured.
