Arsene Wenger and Slaven Bilic both spoke to the press following Arsenal’s 5-1 thumping of West Ham on Saturday.
Wenger was typically pragmatic, pointing out how at 1-0 up, we didn’t take our chances. However, we were patient and in the end dominated the match, winning 5-1.
He also sang Alexis Sanchez’s praises after the Chilean scored his hat-trick, claiming that he can be a top European striker, which I think everyone now agrees with.
Bilic, on the other hand, was understandably dejected and unhappy with what he’d just witnessed.
At even 2-0 up, he said, you could still see West Ham potentially getting back into the game. However, once we finally took off the handbrake, there was no stopping us.
