Pep Guardiola was full of praise for Arsenal ahead of our clash against Manchester City on Sunday.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss praised not only the club’s style of football, hailing us as one of the best counter-attacking teams there is, he also said how much he respects Arsene Wenger and his philosophy.
Of course, Pep was sort of prompted considering Wenger had already given his press conference in the morning and spoken about his respect for the Spaniard, so it was only right that he returned the gesture.
PEP: They are one of the best counter attacking team. They have a lot of talent. We will have to be good to beat them. #mcfc

PEP: I have a lot of respect for (Wenger’s) career. I admire the way he tries to play and especially the quality of the players they buy.

Saying that, they’re two classy managers who obviously do have a lot of genuine admiration for each other.
Hopefully, this continues on Sunday.
Both City and Arsenal need a win, with the Blues behind us in fourth by just one point. Meanwhile, the Gunners desperately need to start closing the gap on Chelsea, who are top of the table, six points ahead.
