There were more minutes for Arsenal’s players out on loan, with both goalkeeper Ryan Huddart and midfielder Jon Toral starting for their respective sides on Saturday.
Here’s a full round-up:
ENGLAND
Calum Chambers started and played the full 90 minutes during Middlesbrough’s impressive 3-0 home victory over Swansea City. The centreback made a whopping 11 clearances, two interceptions and a tackle too, as well as having more touches on the ball than any other Boro player.

Defensive midfielder Glen Kamara was again not involved in the matchday squad as Colchester United beat Notts County 2-1.
Goalkeeper Ryan Huddart started during Eastleigh’s 4-3 away defeat against Southport. The visitors had to play for the remaining 20 minutes with nine men after left-back Hakeem Odofin was dismissed.
SPAIN
Jon Toral started and played the first half during Granada’s 2-0 defeat against Real Sociedad. The midfielder was replaced by Victorien Angban at the interval. His substitution came as a surprise especially it was his best display of the season, making three interceptions as well as an important goal-line clearance.
ITALY
Wojciech Szczesny started and played the full 90 minutes during Roma’s slender 1-0 defeat at the hands of Serie A leaders Juventus. The result propels Massimiliano Allegri’s side seven points clear at the top of the league but they could’ve won by a larger margin if not for a string of good saves from the Poland international.

His low diving stop to deny Stefano Sturaro was the pick of the bunch, and he could do nothing to stop Gonzalo Higuain’s excellent strike after 15 minutes.
