During Arsene Wenger’s pre-Manchester United presser, he revealed that he doesn’t find any solace in the fact that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is suspended for the match because he’s far more concerned about Marcus Rashford.

Since joining United on a free from PSG this summer, Zlatan has scored six goals in 11 Premier League appearances. This is 0.54 goals a game or around a goal every other match.

So far, Rashford has scored three in eight appearances, which works out as about 0.38 goals per game.

Although the 19-year-old doesn’t seem quite as deadly in front of goal as his more experienced teammate, Arsene Wenger claims that he’s the United player who Arsenal have had the most trouble against in the past.

“Look, certainly they would prefer to have him but, let’s not forget, last year the guy who killed us was [Marcus] Rashford,” the Frenchman revealed.

“So let’s not speculate on any weakness of Man United.

“Yes of course [Rashford was a surprise] but to me less because I watched him against a Danish team [earlier that week] and he scored and I could see straight away that this guy could be dangerous. On crosses his movement was good, the way he moved in the box was strong. He took everyone by surprise because no one knew him in England.”

I get what the boss is saying, while Zlatan can be lethal, it’s Rashford’s movement that can get us. He’s harder for us to deal with and I wouldn’t be surprised if, at Old Trafford on Saturday, he has a good game.

When we traveled to Old Trafford last season in February of this year, Rashford scored a brace AND grabbed an assist for Ander Herrera during their 3-2 win.

The England international has come on leaps and bounces over the last few months, let’s hope this doesn’t continue against us.
