Arsenal may have collected all three points against Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon, but they also picked up two injuries which are more than a little annoying.

Mathieu Debuchy, brought back into the side to replace Carl Jenkinson who was hapless against PSG promptly left the pitch after just 16 minutes when his body just gave up.

Speaking after the game, Arsene Wenger confirmed that the player believes the injury to be ‘severe’.

Wenger also confirmed that Olivier Giroud had done his hamstring and that certainly rules him out for at least a couple of weeks because he’s not Alexis Sanchez.

Thankfully, Lucas Perez returned to training at the end of the week, but I’m sure Arsene would have liked to have the option of easing him back in.

Well, he doesn’t. With Chuba Akpom and Danny Welbeck both still sidelined, Lucas will be needed immediately for Arsenal’s EFL Cup game against Southampton on Tuesday.
