At this point, I think we all know that Alexis Sanchez is not human.

Just days after being dismissed from training with the Chile national team following a low-grade muscle injury, not only did the forward score a brace for his country but he’s already back in full training with Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger said the 27-year-old was a doubt and the club would have to assess his fitness after training on Friday.

“I haven’t heard a lot [about his fitness] because we were in doubt 24 hours before the game against Uruguay,” said Wenger.

“We didn’t know if he’d play or not. In the end they decided to play him. He texted us to tell us he’s in good shape after the game. He came off after 84 minutes and now we have to wait. I see him tomorrow [Friday] morning and then I will see if he can be involved in the squad or not.

“What I will consider is the risk of injury because he played while recovering from a hamstring injury. I’ll consider the way he feels as well. On that front you depend on the honesty of the player, how they feel and how they recover.”

Well, training has been and gone and Alexis was in attendance.

Carl Jenkinson was also in training, suggesting that he’ll be the man to step into the injured Hector Bellerin’s boots.

The Spaniard is out for at least four weeks with an ankle injury he picked up against Spurs.
