After an impressive performance last weekend, Kelechi Nwakali continued his vein of excellent form with a Man of the Match display for MVV Maastricht against FC Den Bosch on Friday evening.

Across the weekend thus far though, the talented teenager was one of few players who were given minutes at their respective clubs.

Here’s a round-up:

Arsenal loan watch – ENGLAND

Calum Chambers played the full 90 minutes in Middlesbrough’s 2-2 away draw against Leicester. The 21-year-old picked up his third booking of the season for what referee Lee Mason judged to be an overtly-physical tussle with Jamie Vardy, before being unfortunate to concede a penalty for handball.

Glen Kamara was an unused substitute for Colchester United’s 3-0 away win over Cheltenham Town.

Creative midfielder Daniel Crowley once again did not feature in Oxford United’s matchday squad as they won with a slender 1-0 victory against Gillingham.

Having been in the matchday squad every week since the start of the new campaign, goalkeeper Ryan Huddart was not involved in Eastleigh’s matchday squad to face Chester, suggesting the 19-year-old is potentially injured.

Arsenal loan watch – NETHERLANDS

Kelechi Nwakali earned more rave reviews whilst operating in the number ten role for MVV Maastricht, playing the full 90 minutes during their 3-0 win over FC Den Bosch. Stefan O’Connor meanwhile, was not included in their matchday squad.

Right-back, Tafari Moore, was an unused substitute for Utrecht’s second string side as they lost 4-2 away against FC Oss in the Jupiler League.

Arsenal loan watch – PORTUGAL

Joel Campbell started and played 61 minutes for Sporting during their narrow 1-0 win over Boavista. Replaced by his compatriot, Bryan Ruiz, shortly after the hour mark, the 24-year-old struggled to have much influence in the final third. His consistency has been one of the main issues holding him back from developing further, and he’ll be eager to avoid a repeat performance in their next match.
