Arsenal target, Bruma, claims that Jose Mourinho promised to keep an eye on him at Galatasaray.
The winger scored against Manchester United in a pre-season friendly and although the Red Devils won 5-2 in the end, Bruma apparently did enough to impress the opposition’s boss.
“He congratulated me for the performance and said he was impressed with me,” he said.
“He promised to closely monitor my work and said I could play for the national team soon.
“Of course it was amazing to hear this from Mourinho and he said he will keep an eye on how I do this season.”
According to Turkish-Football, United are willing to spend £8m bringing the 22-year-old to Manchester. However, if reports are to be believed, they’ll have to fend off not only Arsenal but Chelsea and Spurs, who have been linked with the winger since September.
The Portuguese youth international’s contract with Turkish club Galatasaray runs out in 2018 and considering the way in which he left former club Sporting in 2013 wasn’t exactly amicable, it wouldn’t surprise me if his exit from Gala was similar. Or, at the very least, doesn’t mind stepping on a few toes to get what he and his representatives want.
Bruma has scored four and assisted three in the Turkish league, is right-footed, plays on the left and is known for his pace.
He’s hot property right now and I wouldn’t be surprised if we were at least keeping an eye on his situation with Gala. However, if United really are monitoring him as Jose says, any price they’re willing to pay could blow Arsenal’s out of the water.
