Olivier Giroud, Shkodran Mustafi and Nacho Monreal have all received call-ups ahead of the international break next week.
As we previously reported, Joachim Low has left Mesut Ozil out in order to let him rest, which is very welcome from an Arsenal perspective.
As Germany’s World Cup Qualifier is against San Marino (11 November), Low obviously didn’t feel it necessary to bring the playmaker as it should be a simple enough win without him.
It makes a welcome change and I’m sure Mesut will enjoy the mini-holiday.
Mustafi, on the other hand, has been summoned but the centreback is a different case to our star player. As huge as he is to the team, an injury to him would not only be less likely but less costly.

Meanwhile, Monreal has been called up for Spain. The left-back previously received his first call-up since 2013 in early October due to an injury to Jordi Alba. The Barcelona star is still out.

Giroud has also been called up for France after weeks on the sideline thanks to an injured toe. He’s been firing on all cylinders for Arsenal, scoring three goals in two games, so it stands to reason that Didier Deschamp would give him the nod.
