Former Reading goalkeeper, Dan Lincoln, has joined Arsenal for a trial and played his first game on Thursday night against Hitchin Town.
The 21-year-old has had a bit of a turbulent year. He was released by the Royals in 2015 before joining Hayes & Yeading and then moving to Basingstoke in January.
He then went to Bognor Regis and soon signed a dual-registration so he could play for Braintree Town for one game in October, as they needed a keeper.
Phew.
Although we did only just sign Joao Virginia and Alex Crean recently, it seems we fancy taking a look at Lincoln considering we’ve taken him for a trial.
The youngster played his first game for Arsenal XI against Hitchin Town on Thursday evening, which we drew 1-1.
According to Jeorge Bird, Kaylen Hinds put the Young Guns ahead first before the home team got a late goal through Callum Riley.
Unlucky lads.
