Arsene Wenger has given the latest team news ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League clash against Ludogorets and, fortunately, there are no nasty surprises.

Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Olivier Giroud (toe) are still out. Although Ramsey has had to start ‘pre-season’ training again, as the boss pointed out ahead of Swansea, Giroud is apparently jogging and getting closer. Both, especially Ramsey, have been out for a long time and therefore need time to prepare.

“They need sharpening up now but they aren’t far away.”

Although the same squad is available, I’d imagine that David Ospina may step for Petr Cech in goal. Not just because Wenger appears to be using him as our Champions League goalkeeper but Cech wasn’t brilliant against Swansea on Saturday.

The boss could rotate against Ludogorets. As he pointed out, the squad is bigger than just the XI that start on the pitch and although we’re unbeaten in six games, this hasn’t always been the same team.

Perhaps we’ll see a couple of players rested, perhaps not.
