Arsenal have been linked with Celtic striker, Moussa Dembele, recently but majority shareholder, Dermot Desmond, has other plans.
The Irish businessman spoke about the possibility of selling the 20-year-old, who has already scored 12 goals in 17 appearances this season, and although it doesn’t seem as if anything is set in stone, he claims the club don’t need to cash in.
“They’re a team, they’re together, we don’t need to sell any players,” Desmond revealed.
“Hopefully we can retain him but again our job is to have players that are wanted by other clubs in the Premier League and elsewhere.
“That will be an indication of the quality of footballers that we have.”
Arsenal probably aren’t the only club apparently keeping an eye on the young Frenchman – he’s on fire. However, considering he’s playing week in, week out in Scotland, it’d be interesting to see whether he would want a move.
In north London, it’s not guaranteed that he would start every game, since we have far more senior players in his position.
What is clear is that he’s a huge talent and if he was willing to not be first choice, he’d probably be a fantastic addition.
Who knows? If we have a striker leave this season, perhaps there’s a chance.
