Santi Cazorla believes that this season Arsenal need consistency because this is where we ultimately fell short in previous campaigns.

Consistency is one of those things that we always know the team need but it’s easier said than done. Stringing together positive results, one after the other, is difficult and while no one’s expecting this team to become Invincibles 2.0 (not that we could this season since we lost the opening game), grinding out the results is key.

Cazorla agrees and believes that this season it’s looking positive. However, we shouldn’t be getting too ahead of ourselves.

“We have started the season in a good way,” the midfielder admitted to IBTimes.

“We are having a good run but it is a very long season. We have to go step by step. It is clear that we want to fight [for the Premier League title]. We have always said we needed to give a step forward. We have started well and we are being more consistent. That’s what we lacked in previous seasons.”

The first team appear to all be singing from the same hymn sheet. After the Swansea win, Shkodran Mustafi was quick to let us know that we shouldn’t be getting ahead of ourselves.

As it is, we should just enjoy this good patch while we can and take each game as it comes. We’ve not lost since the opening game of the season and have won every one of our Premier League matches after our 0-0 draw away to Leicester. Let’s keep them coming. Not just in the League but in all competitions. If we keep the energy high, there’s – hopefully – no stopping us.
