The new Swansea boss, Bob Bradley, has admitted ahead of his team’s Premier League clash with Arsenal that facing the Gunners will be a career highlight.

The American manager has been coaching since the early 1980s so he’s no stranger to new stadiums. However, the Emirates is quite spectacular for anyone walking in for the first time. I can only imagine what it’s like as a visiting manager. Therefore, Bradley admitted that he’ll have a good look around and take it in.

“I don’t usually look back at those kind of things, but for me personally, this will be up there (as a career highlight),” Bradley said.
“I will take a few seconds to look around, to look into the stands and take it in.
“It’s something I have done before. When you lead your team on to the field in the World Cup, you have to take a second and look around.
“But then very quickly I will get my mind back on the game — you put that away and get ready for the whistle.”

It’s easy to take our stadium for granted when we’re used to seeing it but for those who aren’t, especially managers from lower leagues, it must be breathtaking to look around at 60,000+ people from the dugout. Of course, I don’t mean that to sound as patronising as it does.

It’s good to hear that the Swansea manager is clearly excited, as well as proud, to visit the Emirates.

Hopefully, that’s the only part of the memory that’s good (insert evil cackle).
