Granit Xhaka thanked fans for their support after Switzerland beat Portugal 2-0 on Tuesday night in a match which saw the Arsenal man pick up another red card.

The sending off, which came in the 93rd minute thanks to a second yellow, was Xhaka’s sixth his last 78 matches, meaning that he’s averaging around one every 13 matches which is more than a little concerning.

That being said, Nia was able to find a number of reasons why he could very well be a liability that Arsenal desperately need.

Speaking after the game, the Swiss coach said that the sending off was ‘annoying,’ especially as he will now miss their next game, against Hungary in October.

Arsenal fans, however, are quite happy at that fact given how international football tends to destroy our players.
