The manager of Southampton, Claude Puel knows Arsene Wenger well.

Playing for him when the boss was manager of Monaco, he knows his methods and has come out with tons of praise as he gets set to bring the Saints to the Emirates, looking for their first leaugue win since 1987.

“Arsene Wenger was my trainer for seven years at Monaco and it’s a pleasure to see him on the other bench,” said Puel. “People sometimes do not understand the fantastic work of Arsene. He’s an example for other coaches.”

His sentiments echo those you hear from pretty much every manager on the planet, even those who haven’t worked under Wenger. Every manager except Jose Mourinho. Obviously.
