In the dying minutes against Chelsea, Arsenal found themselves still 3-0 up and now it was all about keeping a clean sheet, something that Hector Bellerin helped to ensure.
Late in the second half, Pedro steamed toward Arsenal’s area, using his fresh legs and speed to propel him at Petr Cech in goal. However, despite already playing almost 90 minutes, Bellerin used his blistering pace to get back in time to fairly dispossess the Chelsea man.
It earned a huge cheer from the crowd and rightly so.
Speaking after the match, the defender said:
“It was at the end of the game, so I was a bit tired. But he’s a pretty quick player but I don’t know, I think you always need to try and help the team – it doesn’t matter how tired you are and this time it paid off.”
The Spaniard had another brilliant game with him and Theo Walcott linking up well down the right side.
Here’s the tackle in question.
