Manager, Mike Phelan, hailed Arsene Wenger’s achievements in the Premier League ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Hull.

Wenger signed for Arsenal 20 years ago and not only shaped our club but English football as a whole.

Speaking ahead of the Premier League clash, newly appointed manager, Phelan admitted that perhaps the boss has been a victim of his own success. The expectations and philosophy he bestowed onto the club has come back to bite him and made everything so much harder.

Phelan also seemed to admire the fact that Wenger can ride through other peoples’ opinions and carry on with his plans without letting the pressure get to him.

It’s always heartwarming to see another manager praising what Wenger has done and recognising what he’s had to face.

Arsenal face Hull for the first time this season away on Saturday at 3pm (UK time). Hull are in decent form right now so it won’t be an easy win by any means.
