Arsenal’s first EFL Cup match of the season has arrived against Nottingham Forest but who do we think will feature?

With Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Olivier Giroud (toe) still ruled out, it looks as if we’ll definitely be seeing a slightly less experienced team to what we’re used to in the Premier League. However, for Arsenal, fielding a younger team during Cup matches is the norm.

David Ospina seems to be our Champions League goalkeeper so it’s likely that we could use Emi Martinez against Forest.

We’ll also probably finally see starts from Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka, since they haven’t come on until late in the second half during most games so far. And the Ox will also maybe get a look in.

Rob Holding and Krystian Bielik will probably get a chance in defence. However, Gabriel could feature as he completes his return from injury.

Chuba Akpom is probably the most likely name we’ll see since he’s right on the fringe of the first team as it is and had a great pre-season.
