Olivier Giroud will not be included in Arsenal’s squad for their game against Burnley this weekend as he struggles with a unspecified injury he is believed to have picked up against Chelsea…or so the story goes.
Picking up a toe problem earlier in the season, reports from France claimed that he had picked up a second injury against Chelsea that would keep him out of action. Didier Deschamps alluded to it when he gave a press conference to explain his national team selection for the next round of international matches.
How it is being handled leads me to believe that it is not a physical injury that rules the Frenchman out, but anything else that I would add here would be nothing more than speculation.
We know Olivier is a player who needs his head to be on right for him to be effective, is that’s what is going on here or is he really injured?
We’ll probably never know.
