Shkodran Mustafi’s debut performance for Arsenal came in for some criticism in parts of the media after he made the mistake of actually playing football unlike Danny Rose who was named in the Metro Team of the Week despite not playing a single minute.
Although Metro have now removed Rose from their TOTW after complaints his presence unfairly highlighted the media bias against Arsenal, nothing escapes the attention of Twitter.
Mustafi’s 90.5% pass completion rate prompted some to ponder why Arsenal didn’t pay an extra £20m for him to ensure they got the extra 9.5%, while it was also highlighted that Arsenal paid £17.5m for each one of the German’s interceptions.

Metro gave Mustafi 3 stars out of 5 for his debut.
Danny Rose, we presume, got the full 5.
