Despite not having the sharpest accuracy during Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday evening, Mesut Ozil was still one of our stand-out pass-masters.

The playmaker had just one shot on target, which he scored with, and made a total of 65 successful passes. This was second only to our very own Santi Cazorla (75).

The German did attempt a total of 72 passes, so he could have been sharper. However, his pure class and contribution to them team made up for any ‘shortcomings’ during his performance.

Ozil has already come under fire this season for not instantly scoring 20 goals and surpassing his 19 assists last season already but hopefully this should shut up any doubters.

We have a very special player on our hands with this guy and the fact that he patted the Arsenal badge after scoring makes me very, very happy.
