Granit Xhaka got a start against Basel in the Champions League in light of Francis Coquelin’s injury and the Swiss set about impressing against his old side.
The 24-year-old completed 75 of his 84 passes on the night, making him the third top-passer across both sides. Of those, he completed 13 of his 16 final third passes, won the ball back seven times,
He won 50% of the tackles he attempted (just two), made two clearances, won his only aerial duel, and didn’t give away a single foul (although he was fouled himself three times).
