Granit Xhaka has praised Arsenal’s passionate draw against PSG on Tuesday night.

Although many would call the Gunners’ first half performance anything other than ‘passionate’ we did come from a goal down to earn a point away to the group favourites. Although it’s not exactly the same as earning a draw away to the likes of Barcelona or Bayern Munich – despite all their money, PSG are distinctly uninspired on the pitch – we can only play who’s put in front of us.

Xhaka, who was only brought on in the 71st minute for some reason, took to Facebook following the draw to praise his team’s performance.

Although I disagree with the midfielder’s use of the word ‘passionate’, we did turn it around in the second half and looked like the better team. Particularly when Alexis, our goalscorer, was free to move out wide when Olivier Giroud came on.

Hopefully, we’ll finally learn from our mistakes and actually put in a ‘passionate’ performance against Hull on Saturday.
