Arsene Wenger has confirmed that although Olivier Giroud would miss out on the Basel clash on Wednesday through suspension anyway, he’ll also most likely miss out on our Premier League match with Burnley on Sunday.
The striker picked up a toe injury against PSG during our first Champions League fixture and has since been out of action. Although some laughed at the thought of something so little keeping him out, it’s obviously serious enough to keep him sidelined for a couple of weeks.
Although the Frenchman would miss out on the clash against Basel at the Emirates anyway thanks to a last minute second yellow card during our match in Paris, Wenger seems to think that he’ll miss out on our Premier League fixture against Burnley on Sunday as well.
Wenger says Giroud, who is suspended tomorrow, is also a doubt for the weekend with his toe injury.

Giroud seems to have been pushed down the pecking order recently, with Alexis being picked to start over him and the big guy only being brought on in the 60th minute or later, and this injury probably won’t help. Hopefully, he can get back to fitness as as soon as possible.
