Santi Cazorla has told the media in Spain that if Arsenal offer him a new deal he will sign as he’s happy with the club.
The 31-year-old has proven himself invaluable to Arsene Wenger and it’s no coincidence that our slump last season came when he was sidelined with injury.
Arriving at the club in 2012 for around £16m, he has won over every single Arsenal fan with his magical feet, infectious smile and general awesomeness.
His current deal, which was signed in 2015, expires at the end of 2017, but should Arsenal want him to stay, he’d be happy to do so.
“I am good here, I feel important, I have the confidence of the coach and of team mates,” Santi told Cadena SER. “If Arsenal ask me to continue I will continue, I am happy here, this is a great club”
Google translate had a bit of fun with the most important bit of this quote, returning a translation of ‘If Arsenal offer me follow follow, I’m happy here, this is a great club.’ So I spoke to a Spanish speaker to get the non-Googled version that is above.
