Galatasaray’s ‘wonderkid’ who was scouted by Arsenal (and a host of other clubs) recently, Bruma, is set to sign a new deal tying him to the club until 2020 with a nice little €20m release clause inserted, just in case.
A Portugal u21 international, the 21-year-old left winger has caught the eye of a number of top clubs in the Premier League with Arsenal’s scouts joined by ones from Tottenham, West Ham and Chelsea, all watching him as he played against Kayserispor
One goal and two assists in four Superlig games this season comes after last year’s campaign which saw him register just two goals and one assist in 32 when he was on loan with Real Sociedad.
Bruma’s current deal runs until 2018, a contract he signed when he first signed for the Turkish side from Sporting CP in 2013.
His new deal will also come with a payrise, from €1.1m per year up to around €1.9-2m.
Injuries have somewhat hindered the Portuguese player’s development with him once touted as a back-up for Cristiano Ronaldo in the national team.
Now, according to reports from Turkish football experts, he seems to be finally starting to deliver on his promise.
