Alexis Sanchez has been called up for Chile’s World Cup 2018 Qualifiers against Ecuador and Peru, which means he could miss our Premier League clash against Swansea.
The Swansea match takes place on the 15th of October, while Chile’s second fixture against Peru is on the 11th. This means that because of travel and fatigue, it’s unlikely that he’ll feature or at least start against the Swans.
Having the forward out would be a huge miss for the team, considering he’s the driving force behind a large portion of our attacks and has unrivaled work rate. However, if we can’t beat Swansea at home without one player, then we’ve got bigger problems than just the international break.

Alexis is a huge part of the Chile national side and he was even awarded Player of the Tournament when they won the Copa America this summer. It’s unthinkable to think they’d leave him out.
Let’s keep our fingers and toes crossed for no injuries, eh? Not that those have stopped him before.
