Jack Wilshere gave his opinion on the recent transfer of Paul Pogba to Manchester United and he believes that the France international will improve the Premier League.

Wilshere, who played against Pogba when he was in the Red Devils’ youth squad, rates the 23-year-old, describing him as special and backing him to do well.

“I know him quite well, I played against him a few times in the youth team at Manchester United and you could always tell back then he had something special,” Wilshere said.

“It was a bit of a surprise when he left but he has obviously made a great name and career for himself.

“He is a special talent and the Premier League is a better place now he is in it.”

Pogba signed for a United from Juventus for a record-breaking £89m and therefore has a lot of pressure on his shoulders… not that he seems the type of feel pressure. The midfielder initially left in 2012 due to Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly disliking his attitude.

It remains to be seen whether Pogba’s attitude has improved with age, although Jose Mourinho clearly doesn’t seem to care about that considering his own and the fact that he defended Diego Costa last season.

It’ll be interesting to see how Pogba adapts to the Premier League. Perhaps he won’t even need to adapt because of his past experience. Who knows? All we know is that he has a lot to live up to.
