Gaston Pereiro look set to stay where he is in the Netherlands despite being scouted by a number of top clubs, including Arsenal.

A 21-year-old attacking midfielder (shocker), Pereiro is currently under contract with PSV Eindhoven until 2020 and it seems the talented winger would like to remain where he is for another year.

“For my development, I think it’s best I definitely stay in Eindhoven for another year,” he told Brabants Dagblad.

See.

Pereiro played the last 14 minutes of their game this weekend and scored the winner after coming off the bench. He certainly seems to have it all in his locker and will no doubt command a sizeable fee when he decides to move next summer.

Knowing this, Arsenal could try to push to get the deal done this summer but the player seems to have his mind set on not moving too early and you can’t begrudge him that. Too many youngsters are too quick to move to a big club and their career suffers for it.

He plays on the right-wing and was signed just last summer for £5.95m from Nacional.
