Former Arsenal man, Samir Nasri, has been reportedly placed on Manchester City’s transfer list after Pep Guardiola decided he was surplus to requirements.

Although the Frenchman never quite amounted to what everyone thought he would after he left Arsenal for our rivals in 2011, he wasn’t terrible. He’s scored 27 goals and assisted 40 in 175 appearances. The 29-year-old’s injury woes didn’t disappear once he left us, so this is why he was often unfit and subbed on in the final stages of the match. This screwed his ‘appearances’ statistic slightly as he was often just playing for minutes at a time.

Still, his lack of time on the pitch led people to speculate whether City would keep hold of him for much longer.

Sure enough, L’Equipe are now claiming that new manager Pep Guardiola doesn’t want him and has placed him on the transfer list, despite losing weight since he returned from the summer break.

Last month, Pep told Sky Sports:

“Samir arrived back a little overweight but he is much, much better now.

“He has fought a lot during these weeks (in China) but he is a little bit overweight. Last season, he was overweight and had injuries all season and we want to avoid that.

“But hopefully in the next spirit he will be the right way.”

Although Nasri has lost it, this doesn’t appear to have made a difference.

This latest revelation comes just weeks after Nasri insinuated that he regrets leaving Arsenal.

And the day after this Instagram video of him partying it up with friends emerged…

Nasri also appears to have been training alone.

Hmmm.
