On Friday night Arsenal spanked eight past Vikings SK and fans were very happy.

Yes, it was only ‘Vikings’ but that hasn’t stopped Arsenal messing up or struggling to find the back of the net. Also, it’s nice to have something else to ponder when you think ‘Arsenal,’ ‘football,’ and ‘eight goals’.

An unbelievably tedious first half saw just one goal, and that came when I’d finally dragged myself from my seat to get a rum to make it through to halftime.

Seven goals in the second half made it all worth it.

Yes, it’s pre-season. Yes, it means nothing. But wouldn’t you rather be scoring eight under any circumstances than not?
