Reports are claiming that Arsenal are favourites to sign Manchester City’s Wilfried Bony but we’re not, Everton are.

According to the Express, who are using BetStars as a reference, Arsenal are 6/4 favourites to sign the former Swansea striker, Wilfried Bony, while Everton are 3/1. This didn’t seem right to me considering it’s been about five seconds since the Gunners were even linked with him and now we’re suddenly favourites to sign him?

Looking at the other companies displaying the odds for Arsenal to sign Bony from City this summer, SkyBet and 10Bet, we’re 5/2 and 5/1. to get him (which is still apparently more likely than him staying at City apparently). Meanwhile, the Toffies are 8/15 with both companies. Everton, therefore, seem like pretty clear favourites.

Perhaps at the time of writing this the odds had dramatically changed compared to when the Express published their pieces but it doesn’t seem likely that we’re going to sign the Belgium international, especially not for the reported £30m. It won’t happen.
