Real Madrid have reportedly informed James Rodriguez that he’s staying at the club this summer.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea but, after stating that he doesn’t want to go anywhere, Real Madrid have reportedly reassured him that he’s not going anywhere. Phew, he must be so relieved. Imagine having to sign for Arsenal. Or worse, Chelsea.

The Colombian said back in July that it’s always been his dream to play for Real and he has no intention of leaving.

“My dream has always been to play in Madrid and I will continue fulfilling it because I’m staying here.”

To be honest, there was literally nothing pointing to us being interested in the player and it’s clear that he didn’t want to be linked with us. He’s obviously very happy where he is and we don’t need another player in his position.

You do have to wonder though… if the reports are true that the La Liga club have had to reassure him he’s staying… does he really have the #MentalStrength to play for Arsenal?
