Bruno Peres has undergone a medical at Roma ahead of a move there despite being heavily linked with Arsenal.

A transfer saga that was stronger at the start of the summer than it has been in recent weeks as it became clear Arsenal’s real intentions were settled on Shkodran Mustafi can now be drawn to a close.


I’m not sure about you but I’m actually getting a strange sense of satisfaction scratching all these players off the list of players Arsenal are supposed to be trying to sign.

We may not ever get a clear picture of what’s really going on, but we are certainly getting a less muddy one.

That can only ever be a good thing.

Peres will sign on an initial season long loan with the deal likely to be made permanent next summer.
