17 years ago, Thierry Henry signed for Arsenal and changed the way the world saw the Gunners.

The Frenchman, who signed for Arsenal from Juventus in 1999, would go on the to be one of the best players to ever wear the cannon on his chest. 228 goals during his time with us is no joke and he fully deserves the statue that stands outside the Emirates.

It’s not all been plain-sailing…in 2007 he signed for Barcelona before moving to New York Red Bulls in 2010.

Of course, we all remember his return on loan in 2012. Who could forget his goal against Leeds?

More recently, he returned to Arsenal as a coach. A role he’s now essentially forfeited, preferring to be in front of the cameras than behind the scenes. However, despite this, no one can deny what he’s given for the club. No matter how we may feel about his recent antics…
