Liverpool managed to completely tear Barcelona apart on Saturday night during the International Champions Cup clash at Wembley.

Goals from Sadio Mané, Javier Mascherano (OG), Divock Origi and Marko Grujić gave the Reds an emphatic 4-0 victory. Their pressing and counter-attacking style was everything you’d expected from a Jurgen Klopp team and the Catalans had no chance.

Barca fielded a pretty strong team. Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets were all among the starters but tactically, Klopp owned it.

The only fly in the ointment for Liverpool is that they appear to have lost another player in  James Milner. The full-back was taken off in the 41st minute and, according to Liverpool’s Twitter account, it’s not looking good.

Liverpool are already potentially without Daniel Sturridge, Lucas Leiva, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez, Mamadou Sakho and Loris Karius for the beginning of the new Premier League season. Having yet another man out will be jarring. However, as they showed against Barcelona, Klopp’s style if more about a unit than individuals. I’m sure he could make it work.

Bad news for Arsenal.
