Shkodran Mustafi has apparently been training away from the rest of the Valencia squad amid rumours that Arsenal want to sign him.
The defender, who is now being heavily linked with a move to the Emirates and has refused to deny that a potential transfer could be on the cards, was firstly reported to have hurt his foot in training earlier in the week…but now he’s in training away from the rest of the squad…?

Whether one, neither or both of these things are true, it does appear that the Valencia camp are a little nervous regarding the future of the 24-year-old.
Arsenal are publicly on the look-out for a centre-back, following Per Mertesacker’s boo-boo, and therefore, it’s very, very probable that we’re interested in signing him.
David Ornstein a.k.a. the Ornacle says that although there’s been no talks between Arsenal and Valencia over the defender, we are definitely interested.
There is interest from Arsenal in Valencia's Shkodran Mustafi but no talks have taken place between the clubs. [@bbcsport_david] #afc

Garcia Pitarch in London having a meeting. Really interesting.

What’s more is that apparently Garcia Pitarch – Valencia’s director of football – is in London. Now, it should probably be said that the La Liga club are currently in the UK for pre-season, so this could be nothing. But we’ll see.
