Riyad Mahrez has allegedly told everyone he needs to that he wants to leave Leicester for Arsenal, but he won’t say it publicly and he won’t hand in a transfer request according to the latest nonsense that was doing the rounds on Tuesday.

The Leicester man, as you might have noticed, has been heavily linked with Arsenal.

Initially it seemed as if there was no way he would be coming with Claudio Ranieri saying as much. But the Italian’s stance has softened and now he has hardly spoken a word about it which does make me wonder.

Anyway:

Mahrez however refuses to make his desire to leave public & will not force Leicester's hand. Like Arsenal's Lacazette situation: stalemate.

My first thought was ‘well if he won’t go public, how does this guy know?’ then I remembered that this is exactly how players force through moves while still picking up their loyalty bonus from the club they are leaving.

Is that’s what’s happening? I have absolutely no idea. But that’s the thing, nobody does.

All we have at the minute is speculation and supposition.

Not that that has ever stopped anyone from saying whatever they wanted while dressing it up as fact.
