No one could have predicted that we would see Arsene Wenger holding a massive silver sword, gifted to him by the manager of a Norwegian team called Viking FK, and thrusting it in the air proudly. Yet here we are.

90-minutes before we hammered the Vikings 8-0, their manager, Kjell Jonevret, gifted Wenger with a huge silver Viking sword. The boss accepted it with a smile and held it aloft proudly for all to see.

It was a nice gesture and an impressive bit of equipment… Although it was slightly embarrassing that we only gave them a silver plate in return. It’s like when you go to a friend’s house for dinner and they’re serving Champagne but you’ve only brought a bottle of £4.99 Cava from Tesco.

Goals from Joel Campbell, Santi Cazorla, Theo Walcott Alex Iwobi and Chuba Akpom saw Arsenal win their penultimate pre-season clash comfortably. Our final match of the tour is against Manchester City on Sunday, which I’m sure will be a far more even game.
