Abdullah Al-Rashidi won bronze in the Rio 2016 shooting event and did so while wearing an Arsenal shirt, although he seems confused by that last part.

The 53-year-old claims that he just bought the shirt and that he doesn’t know why. Presumably it was something to do with the cannon or us being known as the ‘Gunners’? Nope, he doesn’t know.

According to the BBC, Rashidi is from Kuwait but since the Kuwait Olympic Committee have been suspended ‘to protect the Olympic movement in Kuwait from undue government interference,’ he competed as an individual athlete.

Well, you’re one of us now, pal. Well done on the medal!
