Former Arsenal clown, Emmanuel Frimpong, has signed for Arsenal Tula in Russia with many people initially missing the ‘Tula’ part and crapping themselves.

Spending two years in the country with Ufa, for whom he made just 28 appearances, the Ghanaian midfielder has signed a two-year deal and is just one of a number of former Arsenal players on the move this window.

Alex Hleb has already returned to BATE Borisov for the fourth time, Thomas Vermaelen is on loan at Roma, Fran Merida moved to La Liga, Chuks Aneke signed with MK Dons, Alex Song also headed to Russia, Kolo Toure moved to Celtic, Alex Manninger rocked up at Liverpool and Denilson went back to Brazil.

Frimpong is still only 24 and you get the feeling if he would just put his head down and concentrate he could still have a decent career.

He probably won’t.
