Marca are today claiming that Deportivo La Coruna’s Lucas Perez is Arsenal-bound after the Gunners agreed to pay his €20m release clause.

With many clubs interested in the player, the Spanish publication claim that it is now up to  Lucas if he wants to say ‘yes’ to Arsenal.

They claim a three or four year deal is on the table.

The 27-year-old has one goal and one assist in his one league appearance this season. Last term, he scored 17 with 10 assists in 36 league games with another two goals and an assist in two Europa League games. That’s 19 goals and 11 assists in 38 games.

Having already played in the Ukraine and Greece, moving abroad isn’t likely to be a problem. His current contract expires in 2019.

The Spanish side are said to have offered him a seven-year deal to stay but it appears as if he has rejected this and could well be on his way to London.

As this is a new story, we’re off to dig into it to see what we can find (after coffee) so be sure to check back throughout the day.
