Takuma Asano has joined VfB Stuttgart on a season-long loan.
Shortly after the news emerged that Asuno failed to obtain a work permit, the Japanese forward has been sent out on a season-long loan to German club Stuttgart.
The 21-year-old was brilliant for Japan at the Rio 2016 Olympics and although even he couldn’t manage to win them a medal, he obviously caught Stuttgart’s eye.
I’m sure he’ll continue to develop and impress while on loan in Germany.
Stuttgart are part of Germany’s second division and will be hopefully be able to provide the youngster with a fantastic experience considering he’s only ever played for the Japan international squad and his former club, Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

Good luck, Takuma!
